Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before booking. By booking or attending any class, workshop, retreat or course with Katie McNeil Yoga (whether online or in person), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and the Liability Waiver set out below.
1. About Katie McNeil Yoga
“Katie McNeil Yoga”, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Katie McNeil trading as Katie McNeil Yoga.
“You” and “your” refers to the client booking or attending any Katie McNeil Yoga service.
2. Booking, Pricing & Payment
All classes, workshops, retreats and courses must be pre-booked and paid for in advance via the online booking system.
We do not accept cash payments. Payment must be made by debit or credit card.
Prices are displayed on the website and/or booking platform and may be subject to change at any time. Any changes will not affect bookings already paid for.
From time to time, promotional offers or discounts may be available. These are valid only for the specified time period and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Subject to your statutory consumer rights, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated in writing.
3. Class Passes
Class passes are valid only for the person named on the booking unless otherwise agreed at our discretion.
Once purchased, class passes are non-refundable under any circumstances.
Class passes may be transferred to another person only with prior written consent from Katie McNeil Yoga. Please contact us by email to request a transfer.
All class passes have an expiry date. Any unused classes remaining after the expiry date will be forfeited and cannot be extended, refunded or transferred.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Classes
If you need to cancel a class booking, you must do so at least 2 hours before the scheduled start time in order for the class credit to be returned to your account.
Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the class start time, or non-attendance, will result in the class being deducted from your pass with no refund or credit.
Workshops, Courses & Retreats
Cancellation terms for workshops, courses and retreats vary and will be clearly stated at the time of booking. Please review the specific cancellation policy before purchasing.
5. Cancellations by Katie McNeil Yoga
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule classes, workshops or retreats where necessary (including due to low attendance, teacher illness, venue issues or circumstances beyond our control).
In the event that we cancel a session, you will be offered either:
a refund, or
a transfer to an alternative class, workshop or retreat, or
a credit returned to your class pass, where applicable.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of any cancellations.
6. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility
Yoga and movement-based practices involve physical activity and carry an inherent risk of injury.
By participating, you confirm that:
you are physically and mentally fit to take part
you will consult your GP or healthcare professional if you have any concerns before participating
you take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing during classes
You must inform the teacher before the class of any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or if you require reasonable adjustments.
You agree to practice within your own limits and stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness or discomfort.
7. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YKatie McNeil Yoga accepts no liability for any injury, loss or damage sustained while participating in any class, workshop, retreat or course, whether online or in person.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
8. Safer Space Policy
Katie McNeil Yoga is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, inclusive, respectful and welcoming environment for all participants, teachers and staff.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment, discrimination or exclusionary behaviour based on:
race, ethnicity, nationality or culture
gender, gender identity, gender expression or pronouns
sexual orientation
age
disability or neurodiversity
body size or physical appearance
religion, belief or worldview
socio-economic background
any other characteristic protected by law
This includes, but is not limited to, abusive language or behaviour, bullying, harassment, micro-aggressions, intimidation, derogatory jokes or comments, and any conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment for others.
We expect all participants to be mindful of how their words, actions and energy may affect others and to act with compassion, respect and awareness in all classes, workshops, retreats, and online settings.
If you feel unsafe, uncomfortable or concerned about another person’s behaviour, you should:
speak with the teacher or a Katie McNeil Yoga representative, or contact the Yoga Teachers Union.
Katie McNeil Yoga reserves the right to remove anyone from a class, workshop, retreat or future bookings if their behaviour violates this policy.
9. Client Etiquette
To help create a positive experience for everyone:
please arrive 5–10 minutes before the class start time
late arrivals (more than 5 minutes after the start) may not be admitted
mobile phones must be silenced and stored away
filming or recording of classes is not permitted
wear clothing suitable for yoga practice
do not attend classes under the influence of drugs or alcohol
We reserve the right to refuse entry or future bookings to anyone whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, unsafe, offensive or inappropriate.
10. Personal Belongings
Personal belongings are brought to classes at your own risk.
Katie McNeil Yoga accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal items.
Please use provided bike racks when attending sessions at the yurt.
11. Privacy & Data Protection
Katie McNeil Yoga respects your privacy and processes personal data in accordance with UK data protection law.
Your information will be used solely for the administration of bookings and delivery of services. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By booking or attending any Katie McNeil Yoga class, workshop, retreat or course, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the Liability Waiver.
